This Privacy Policy explains how Veal ("we," "our," or "us") handles information when you use our mobile application. Veal is designed to help you focus during your workouts by automatically blocking distracting apps when you enter your gym.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes our practices regarding data collection, use, and disclosure.

Since all data processing occurs locally on your device, we do not use your information in the traditional sense. The app uses your device's capabilities to:

• Monitor your location to detect when you enter or leave your gym (processed locally only)
• Automatically block and unblock apps based on your location (managed through your device's Screen Time/Family Controls)
• Store your gym locations and app preferences locally on your device

None of this information is transmitted to our servers or shared with third parties.

Local Storage Only: All data associated with Veal is stored exclusively on your device. This includes:

• Your gym locations
• Your app blocking preferences
• App settings and configurations

No Cloud Storage: We do not maintain any cloud servers that store your personal data. All processing happens locally on your device.

Data Deletion: You can delete all Veal data at any time by uninstalling the app. All locally stored information will be removed from your device.

Veal requires the following permissions to function:

• Location Services (Always or While Using): Required for geofencing functionality to detect when you enter or leave your gym. This permission is used only for the geofencing feature and is not used for any other purpose.
• Screen Time / Family Controls: Required to block and unblock apps on your device. This is managed through your device's built-in parental controls system.

You can revoke these permissions at any time through your device's settings, though doing so will prevent Veal from functioning properly.

Veal may use third-party services for app functionality, such as:

• App Store Services: If you download Veal through the App Store, your download and purchase information is handled by Apple in accordance with their privacy policy.
• Operating System Services: Veal uses your device's built-in location services and Screen Time APIs, which are provided by your device's operating system manufacturer (Apple, Google, etc.).

We do not share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Right to Access: Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can access it directly through the app settings.
• Right to Deletion: You can delete all Veal data by uninstalling the app from your device.
• Right to Control: You can modify your gym locations, blocked apps, and other settings at any time through the app.
• Right to Revoke Permissions: You can revoke location or Screen Time permissions at any time through your device settings.
• Right to Data Portability: Since data is stored locally, you have full control over your data on your device.

Veal is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since all data processing occurs locally on the device, we do not have access to any user data regardless of age.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please note that all data is stored locally on the device and can be deleted by uninstalling the app.

We take data security seriously. Since all data is processed and stored locally on your device:

• Your data is protected by your device's built-in security measures
• No data is transmitted over the internet, reducing the risk of interception
• Your data is not stored on any external servers that could be compromised
• You maintain full control over your data at all times

We recommend keeping your device's operating system updated to ensure you have the latest security protections.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), our legal basis for processing your information is:

• Consent: By using Veal and granting the necessary permissions, you consent to the local processing of your data as described in this policy.
• Legitimate Interest: The local processing of location data is necessary for the app to function as intended, which is a legitimate interest.

Since all processing occurs locally and no data is transmitted to our servers, the scope of data processing is minimal and limited to what is necessary for the app's functionality.

Veal is designed to work globally. Since all data processing occurs locally on your device, your data does not cross international borders through our services.
